Seven year old child washed away by a wave

Z HER BODY WAS RECOVERED BY THE POLICE LIFE GUARDS A LITTLE WHILE LATER

A seven year old girl walking along the beach last morning had been taken away by a freak wave which lashed the shore in Tangalle.

The victim Senali Gihansa Peiris of Kaludewala in Panadura had been staying in a hotel in at Kapuhenwala in Tangalle and gone to the beach with her parents. Her body was recovered by the police life guards a little while later.

Police said the rough seas experience in the area had resulted in the accident.
