‘Black Magic’ at No. 3

Jonasu has been around since December 2020. But it is only now that the dance track has attracted attention largely after it was used on the dating show Love Island - UK in June. Eight weeks ago, the song debuted on the UK singles chart at 78 and thereafter took a dip before it rebounded to move up on the chart. This week the dance track climbed from 11 to No: 3 to give the 30-year-old German DJ and producer Jonasu his first UK hit song. ‘Black Magic’ is also his first international hit as well. Jonasu does not sing on the ‘Black Magic’. Instead the vocal support on the song is provided by the Dutch singer Rani with no credit.
