Vidura College Colombo Kalutara Branch celebrates Children’s Day on 1st October 2021

October 1st is a “Red Letter Day” for the students of VIDURA COLLEGE Kalutara Branch as well.

Although we were unable to celebrate Children’s Day as usual due to the pandemic situation of the country, the day was celebrated giving priority for the meritorious deeds with the generous contribution of the parents and the staff. The school was able to distribute more than fifty packs of dry ration among the selected needy families of the area for the 3rd consecutive year.

The programme was organised by Mrs. Kanchana Dassanayake, the Principal of Kalutara Branch along with the members of the staff under the guidance of Mr. D.G.Sumanasekara, the Principal and Mr. Saradha Sumanasekara, Director and Consultant of VIDURA COLLEGE group.

Following the traditions of the Buddhist path, the school organises events of this nature to inspire the morale of the school community, their spiritual development as well as to invoke the blessings of the Triple Gem on all members of the school community besides wishing students a successful journey in the field of education.

Further, it is also intended to show them the path to achieve complete happiness by engaging in such good deeds.

The achievements of the students keep growing steadily in every field such as academic, cocurricular activities and sports with a high command of discipline.

Therefore, besides being proud of the success in the field of education, VIDURA COLLEGE can also be proud of value education inculcated in the students.

It is very clear that Vidurians set their goals high and do not stop until they get there.
