Discovering her creative side

‘Seeing Life in Colour’ is Deepthi Amarasekera’s first exhibition which will be held at the Harold Peiris Gallery on December 3, 4 and 5.

Most of her formal education was centred around science; After a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and an MPhil in Virology at the University of Aberdeen, Deepthi Amarasekera lived and worked in Scotland for many years before embracing motherhood. Discovering and unleashing her creative side this past decade has been such an amazing journey, she says, and she hopes that the excitement and joy of the process have translated to all the pieces that will be displayed.

Deepthi hopes the next step in her journey is to create customized art, based on the ambience, space and vision of the client whether it be for a home or office.
