Sri Lanka's first cable-stayed six-lane bridge named the Golden Gate Kalyani was declared open by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this week. The construction began in 2017 with a concessionary loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JAICA). The total cost of the project was Rs 55 billion.
