Saegis Campus shares the Spirit of Christmas.

‘Christmas is a season of joy, open your hearts in Christ to make a difference.’ urges Rev. Fr. Travis Gabriel, Parish Priest of St. Josephs’ Nugegoda adding significance and greetings to the Annual Christmas Carols organised by Saegis Campus, Rotaractors with the Co-sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Colombo Reconnections.

Saegis Campus that endeavours to empower graduates with knowledge and skills successfully presented ‘Adeste Fideles” on Zoom and Teams platforms in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nalaka Jajakody, Senior Prof.W.G.D. Dharmaratne, Deans, Heads, lecturers, students and guests.

This was the sixth successful endeavour of the Campus Carollers headed by the Rotaract Club with the assistance of the Students’ Forum, Leo Club, ICT Club, and the Arts Club. The main objective of the event was to share the spirit of Christmas with students, staff and families.

College, Colombo Vishmi Gamage, and Jeramine Alexender of the Rotaract Club of Saegis Campus. Practice sessions were held under strict held guidelines. Eleven selected Carols in five languages were presented by the Choir and solo singers backed by live music.

The event was sphere headed by the Students’ Services unit under the directions of Senior Lecturer Thomas Benjamin. Leo Club Past President Ovindu Karunaratne, Secretary of the Rotaract Club Michelle Andrea, Nathali Mudalige, Visharadha Thaveesha Perera (Key board and Guitar), Neluka Wijesuriya( Lead Guitar), Terrence Michael, Clarence Thimothy ,Ashani Sasipraba, John Stanislaus, Shevon Perera, Nathaliya Fernando, Sahashrajee Kumaraperuma, Akash Swaris – (Bass Guitar), Janaka Fernando- Saxophone, Sesandu Dineth, Jeramine Alexander and Peter Arsakularatne on Rhythm guitar produced live music for practices and recording.
