Yes, video games can be responsible for behavioral and mental changes, lack of other hobbies and poor academic performance.

However, there are many advantages that you cannot overlook. I have found evidence of many positives. Research has found that playing video games could boost your focus and attention, as you are concentrating on how to win. It helps hand and eye co-ordination too. This also helps to develop problem-solving skills and strategy skills. It is believed to boost your brain in decision making.

Video games serve both purposes of entertainment and education. It is certain to enhance skills and abilities such as logical thinking, while playing games often, inspires you to learn new things.
