Drake signs new contract with Universal Music Group
Drake has signed a new contract with the Universal
Music Group for a massive undisclosed figure. There is speculation the deal is worth around $400 million. Chairman of the label Sir Lucian Grainge on 3rd May made it public that Drake’s new deal will cover recordings, publishing, merchandise etc.
The 35-year-old Canadian artist has so far released six studio albums with Universal or its sub labels Republic, Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and OVO. Drake has sold over 35 million albums worldwide.
