Drake dominates new arrivals in the UK singles chart

The rapper and singer Drake dominated the new arrivals on the UK singles chart this week, as no less than three songs from his just released album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ debuted in the top 10. The highest entry of the week was ‘Jimmy Cooks’ at No: 7. The hip hop song which appears to be a reference to Drake’s earlier career as an actor on the Canadian TV show Degrassi. He played the role of the character Jimmy Brooks. The song which has strong drum N beat tempo features the US rapper 21 Savage. Also debuting in the top 10 is the song ‘Massive’ at the No: 8. It is one of the two singles to be released from Drake’s new album. It is similar to 90s house music with Drake singing solo on the track. The third song from Drake’s new album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ to debut at No: 10 is ‘Falling Back’, another 90s tempo house track which has got its chart position due to streaming and downloading. Meanwhile while Drake songs flooded the singles chart on the albums chart ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ had to settle for the entry at No: 2 as Harry Styles ‘Harry’s House’ recaptured the No: 1 spot.
