A baby Asian elephant called Nang Phaya is surrounded by the females of the herd in her enclosure at Whipsnade Zoo. The new arrival has been named the Thai word for queen at the UK’s largest zoo, in honour of its late patron, Queen Elizabeth II, who once met the calf’s mother.
