NDB Bank partners with FoSLA (UK)

The Friends of Sri Lanka (FoSLA) recently hosted their Gala fundraiser in Leicestershire County Cricket Club Padiham, England sponsored by NDB Bank.

In his speech, the Chief Executive of Leicestershire Country Cricket Club Sean Jervis spoke of his commitment to a productive bilateral relationship with Sri Lanka and he said “we stand with you, the people of Sri Lanka in your journey to revitalise your resplendent island’. He commended NDB Bank for their valued partnership in making the event a success and their community-minded devotion to promoting opportunities for fundraising outside Sri Lanka.

The FoSLA is a diverse non-political friendship group whose common interest is Sri Lanka. It is not a designated charity but donates to charities that offer support to Lankan communities which qualify through a stringent procedure under the UK charities commission. The membership includes former British foreign diplomats, expatriates including residents of Sri Lanka, and British nationals who have lived or worked in Sri Lanka or just come to love the country as tourists, the bank said in a media release.

As NDB partners with such events, the bank enhances its scope to promote overseas deposits under its renowned Privileged Banking segments encouraging foreign investment.
