Technology is seamlessly becoming an irreplaceable part of our lives. As said by Sukant Ratnakar, “Our future success is directly proportional to our ability to understand, adopt, and integrate new technology into our work”. Everything we do includes technology in a way or other. We are growing exponentially towards being much more tech dependent or in other words advanced this decade. But are we growing at a relative pace as compared to the world? The rise of tech buzzwords like Blockchain, AI and Data Science is now not really buzzy to us. How are these shaping the future of our country? This article talks about the ways the new cutting-edge technologies can help reinvent the ways of growing as a country and match the world. The scope of implementing tech to create a new place in the world is amazing.

ECONOMY AND TECHNOLOGY

The economy of our country is majorly dependent on the agriculture sector. The second biggest sector supporting the economy is tourism. The pandemic in the last 2 years declined production and tourism on a large scale, affecting the economy in the worst way since independence. The country now needs to rise from this in a new and stronger way. The idea of adapting technology to the agriculture industry can open the doors of new opportunities and sustainable development of the country. Data Science is helping businesses and governments understand the story behind the numbers and graphs and enabling them with data driven decision making. Implementing the power of data driven decisions can change the image of the agriculture industry like never before. We are facing multiple issues related to crops, supply chain management of food produced, tea plant management, and food storage, all these are an important part of our country’s agriculture sector and are influencing the economy majorly. Data science can equip farmers with smart apps and devices which are able to detect the early stages of a plant disease or all and any kind and can alert them regarding the necessary steps to

be taken to keep their plants and vegetation healthy. Data about weather conditions and soil quality can help farmers and government decide what they can do using the current resources to enhance the production and improve the economy. Tasks such as sorting of good and bad crops which were done manually can now be done using technology in less time, saving lots of time and money. This time and money can be used in other areas to make other sectors of the country stronger. The better and smart agriculture will not only attract new business opportunities but also better tourism. Similar smart techniques can be applied to make the tourism industry smart and fast.

The blockchain technology can be used to perform international transactions making things easy for foreign tourists. AI systems capable of translating speech in real time can help better communication among the tourists and local guides, and can make the tourist experience much better.

It is important to make the education system stronger and sustainable to ensure the growth of our country. Implementing data science in the education sector can make it smart and advance in a way beyond our imagination.

The schools can use data science to study the study patterns of different students and can plan the study curriculum according to their behavior making the learning experience much more fun for the students. Along with personalising the learning for students, areas can be made much easier for teachers too. The smart AI systems made with the help of teachers’ behaviour data and teaching patterns can be a smart companion for the teachers which can help them in sending assignments to students, monitoring their performance, and grading their tests in much quicker and accurate way. Along with data science, blockchain technology can also give a whole new face to the education industry.

The cases of fake academic certificates and fake educational qualifications are increasing day by day. This is a fault in our education system as it is not only affecting the literacy of our country but also the employment and economy. The candidates who are presenting these fake documents are hard to catch and implementation of blockchain technology in the education system is the current best solution for this.

The educational certificates, when connected and/or generated using the blockchain technology, give a unique identification to the authenticated certificates and make it easier and faster for anyone to check the authentication of presented certificates. Thus, fake candidates can be detected faster and authorities will be able to take appropriate action.

HEALTHCARE AND TECHNOLOGY

The healthcare sector is another backbone supporting the country’s image internationally and its future as a nation. Data science can bring solutions to many medical operations. The patient data collected by the hospitals and clinics can be used to analyze the health conditions and symptoms. Backing up an AI application with the analysis of this data would equip the doctors as well as the normal public for many small or big diagnoses. The smart watches with the health app with AI can enable people to monitor their health-related stats very easily and know

how they need to take care of themselves. The smart watch gifted to old people will track their heart rate, blood pressure and more symptoms and can notify their family members whenever any abnormal reading is noted by the machine. This way, necessary safety measures and treatments can be taken to save lives. The systems recommending potential treatments and medication can be a useful smart companion to doctors as well by reducing their load to manually check the patients and recommend the medications to them. The blockchain technology can make it possible to create a common database which will hold the complete family health history and can be accessed at any time. The blockchain will keep this database decentralized and safe from any kind of unethical attacks.

This is just the zero-level advancement by implementing data science and blockchain and healthcare. The robotics and smart machines carrying out the operation are much more advanced applications of tech advancement in the healthcare sector of our country.

Technology is the solution for all the problems we are facing and those ones which we can probably think of. The involvement of data science and AI applications in the agriculture and tourism sector can open new doors and bring in new opportunities in developing the country’s economy. The tourism sector can be made much more advanced by involving blockchain technology transactions and AI apps for better tourist experience. The education sector and healthcare sector can be developed in an incredible way making things much faster, reliable, and safer for people and thus making the country stronger and advanced. The world is heading towards implementing high tech solutions using data science and blockchain technology in almost all the industries. It is really important to match the world in every aspect to maintain a position as a developing country internationally. This impacts a lot of areas in the country including inflation and security. Implementing data science and blockchain in various sectors like agriculture, education and healthcare would not only help sustain the country’s position internationally but will also shape the young minds of our country and open doors to new powerful opportunities towards development.
