Await the Khayal collection

Sriyani Dress Point, one of Sri Lanka’s largest retailers of readymade garments, launched in 1993 in Kegalle with just four employees today has over 2,000 staff with eight showrooms in Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Kandy, Negombo, and Ratnapura.

A family-run venture headed by founder and Chairman Mariyapillai Selvaraj, along with Directors Madushika Selvaraj, Dhinushika Selvaraj, and Shabrajith Selvaraj, they are now launching Khayal, their latest line of occasion wear.

At the press conference held at Taj Samudra Hotel last week, Director Dhinushika announced: “The word ‘Khayal’ translates to fantasy and celebrations. Inspired by magical Indian weddings, we are launching a unique ceremonial and festive-fusion collection.”

Khayal’s first collection will be unveiled at the Earl’s Regency Hotel, Kandy on February 11. The collection offers a wide range of lehengas, sarees, three-piece formal suits, designer jackets, one-of-a-kind blazers and sherwanis. The elegant new segment offers the ultimate wedding wardrobe for both brides and grooms.

Also lending their support to the brand at the press conference, were Brides of Sri Lanka Founder and Managing Director Nelum Haththella, CEO of Moose Clothing Hasib Omar and Lassana Flora.
