Sri Lankan Twins to take the lead in global destination promotion

The very first ‘Twin Miss Global 2023’ and ‘Global Most Handsome Twin Couple 2023’ , the two world beauty pageants will be held in Sri Lanka on 26th July, 2023. Organised by ‘The Sri Lanka Twins Organisation’, the world twins’ pageant will simultaneously be held in Colombo along with the Global Twins Cultural Festival, Global Twins Music Festival and the Global Twins Business Forum from 24th July.

Sri Lanka Twins Organisation (SLTO), which is the first and only organisation for twins in Sri Lanka, will stage this Global Twins Day festival from July 24 to 31 with the participation of 4,000 twin and non-twin participants and foreign delegates.

This event is endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and also the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau as one of the major global tourism promotional drives.

‘This event will also carry a meaningful purpose, as it mainly targets the economic growth of the country by covering several areas such as social, economic, culture and tourism. This will be an ideal opportunity to promote Sri Lanka as an important tourism destination, renowned for its warm hospitality and iconic tourism attractions’ said Upuli Gamage, founder Chairperson of SLTO and the Vice President of the Global Twins and Multiple Birth Forum.

Lankan Miss Twin’ for ‘Twin Miss Global 2023’ and ‘Sri Lankan Most Handsome Twins’ for ‘Global Most Handsome Twin Couple 2023’ will come alive on 28th May, 2023. The preliminary round will start from 12th February. The final selection round will be held in Colombo to select the first ever ‘Miss Twin Sri Lanka’ and ‘Sri Lankan Most Handsome Twins’.

Sri Lanka Twins Organisation (SLTO) represents all 24 districts in Sri Lanka with the membership reaching 4000 individuals. STO is the brain child of Upuli Gamage and Chamali Gamage, the twins, who are keen to promote Sri Lanka as a number one tourist destination.
