Prefects Investiture Ceremony- Vidura College - Colombo –Kalutara Branch - 2023

Prefects Investiture ceremony 2023 of Vidura College – Kalutara Branch was held on 16th March,2023 at the School premises, under the patronage of the Principal of Vidura College Mr. D.G. Sumanasekera, Consultant & Director of Vidura College Mr. Sarada Sumanasekara, Vice Principal, Kalutara branch Ms. Nirmala Liyanage and the Head Mistress Ms. Gayana Jayasundara. In this momentous occasion Fourteen Stewards from primary section and Sixteen Prefects from secondary section have been inducted.

Being a School Prefect is one of the highest achievements a student can gain in their school life. It opens the door to learn and develop leadership qualities. With this opportunity they have to behave as role models to their fellow students and work tirelessly to uphold the ethics & etiquette of the school.

The badges were pinned on the newly appointed senior prefects by the Principal of Vidura College Mr. D.G. Sumanasekera., and on stewards by the Vice Principal of

Kalutara branch Ms. Nirmala Liyanage Head prefect Senuki Dinethra Sandrage, Deputy Head prefect Hasini Palihawadana and Games Captain Tharul Ranasingha were pinned as the executive board of prefects.

The Principal Mr. D. G. Sumanasekera, Mrs. Niramala Liyanage Vice Principal of the Kalutara Branch delivered speeches and wished them to showcase and inculcate the best leadership qualities during the tenure of their leadership while being a good listener.

Distinguished guests, teachers and parents glorified this event by appreciating the commitment, integrity, outstanding leadership qualities and hard work that the stewards and Prefects have demonstrated to achieve this honour and congratulated to all of them.
