My country belongs to the Asian continent. It has nine provinces and 25 districts. Sri Lanka is called the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’.

There are different kinds of communities living in my country. They are Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burghers. There are several religions in my country. They are Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism and Christianity. They all live in peace.

There are several festivals in Sri Lanka. They are Sinhala and Tamil New Year, Vesak, Ramadan and Christmas. Some historical places in Sri Lanka are Sri Dalada Maligawa, Sigiriya, Mihintale, Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Maha Bodhi, Jethawana Stupa, Yapahuwa, Polonnaruwa Watadage etc.
