GISM Campus Presents Affordable New Zealand Study Opportunities in Bachelors and Masters in Collaboration wit

In an interview the other Massey delegate Christopher Carey, Executive Director, Global Engagement at Massey University, New Zealand emphasised that Massey University is a vibrant global environment which consisted of about 4000 international students amongst their 25000 domestic students. He said “We have all sorts of paraphernalia with clubs, societies and circles for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for students. You name it and we are embedded with all that extra mile!”

The Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM) in Sri Lanka has a long relationship with Massey University since 2010. As a result, a number of New Zealand Bachelors and Masters programmes are now available for the students to study at GISM and transfer to prestigious Massey University in New Zealand.

“With our Degree pathway arrangement, depending the programme, students can study their first year or first two years in Sri Lanka at GISM and transfer to Massey University in New Zealand to complete their degree. Several Bachelor degree pathways in Business, Information Science, Engineering, Construction and Bioscience, and Masters pathways in Science (Bioscience), Construction, Quantity Surveying, Management and Emergency management are offered in collaboration with Massey University in New Zealand. We also support student direct placements for Undergraduate, Masters and PhD studies in New Zealand.” Said Professor Senaratne, the President of GISM at this interview.

A new Pathway – Master of Emergency Management

In order to initiate a new collaborative Postgraduate pathway, Ms Farhana Nalarthe Associate Director of Global Engagement flew all the way from New Zealand in March in order to sign the agreement between GISM and Massey University in New Zealand, with the optimistic feeling in promoting the Master of Emergency Management.

Why GISM

“GISM will promote excellence in academic standards from the undergraduate level to postgraduate level by adopting stateof-the-art techniques in teaching methodologies, as well as researches. The programmes will be delivered by a panel of distinguished foreign faculty members, and reputed national academics to complement its constitution. Benefits-why spend International Course Fee in full

The main benefit of going through GISM pathway is reducing the cost of international course fee and other expenses. This financial benefit increases the affordability

while saving a huge amount of hard currency. Going through GISM, students can save full one year or two years course fees and the other related cost, depending upon the programme. For all Masters arrangements, students need to spend only oneyear international course fee while a few hundred thousand Rupees are required for 8-10 months postgraduate diploma pathway course in Sri Lanka.
