‘Guththila’ comes alive on screen

The battle between the guru and the disciple ‘Guththila’, a film based on the Jathaka story will be screened from

June 1.

Based on the Gutta Kaavya, a poetry written by Ven. Veththewe Thera based on the Jathaka story, Sanath Abeysekara has written the screenplay and directed the film which is scheduled to be screened in theatres including EAP circuit cinemas

Versatile singer Visharadha Edward Jayakody makes his debut as an actor playing the role of Guththila while the other roles are played by Akila

Dhanuddara, Chulakshi Ranathunga, Yashodha Wimaladharma Sanath Gunathillake, Veena Jayakody, Sathischandra Edirisinghe, Irangani Serasinghe, Srimal Wedisinghe, Giriraj Kaushalya, Nadeeka Gunasekara, Hemantha Iriyagama, Amika Karunaratne, Sarath Chandrasiri, Mahinda Pathirage and many more.

Behind the screen camera direction by Sujith Nishantha, assistant director is Ananda S. Kapuge, editing and colour grading by Praveen Jayaratne, art director Dhammika Hewadunna, make up Tharanga Rukmalwala and music direction by Dinesh Subashinghe.

To the lyrics of Ven. Ittakande Saddatissa thera and Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne, the play back singing is by Edward Jayakody, Akila Dhanuddara and choreographed by Chandana Wickremesinghe and Channa Wijewardhana.

Fightings by Sumudu Amalka, production executive is Roshan Sanje Herath and for Tissa Nagodavithana Films, Gutthila is produced by Haren Nagodavithana and Dilini Silva under the supervision of Tissa Nagodavithana.
