‘Honourable Speaker’ at Wendt

Udayasiri Wickremaratne’s latest stage play ‘Garu Katanayakathumani’ (Honourable Speaker) will be staged today, May 28, at 3.30 pm and 7.00 pm at Lionel Wendt Theatre Colombo.

The cast includes Ishara Wickremasinghe, Kusal Maduranga, Mihiri Priyangani, Ruwan Malith,

Rohitha Jayakoday and Susanga Kahandawala Arachchi.

Music by Lalith Wickramarathne, set designing by Luvolin Vanderwall, set design by Nipuni Preksha Mendis and costume design by Mihindu Madhushanka.

Wickramaratne who earlier produced ‘Suddek Oba Amathai’, ‘Rangapem Ivarai’, ‘Pem Yuwalak One Kara Thibe’ and ‘Thunsiya Hetaeka’, presents a novel political satire in his newest play.
