A film based on an Actor’s own experience

Loosely based on the life of main star Sebastian Maniscalco and his relationship with his father, Hollywood comedy movie ‘About My Father’ is now being screened in theatres.

Directed by Laura Terruso the role of the father is played by Academy awarded actor Robert De Niro, other roles are played by Leslie Bibb,

Anders Holm, David Rasche, and Kim Cattrall.

Encouraged by his fiancee, a man and his father spend the weekend with her wealthy and exceedingly eccentric family. The gathering soon develops into a culture clash, allowing father and son to discover the true meaning of family.

Written by Maniscalco and Austen Earl, the news about the film was first announced in April 2018 with Maniscalco was set to star in the untitled film inspired by his own life. Filming was started in September 2021 in Alabama.
