Melantha : New MAF President

Melantha Perera, popular musician cum vocalist of ‘Mirage’ fame was elected the new President of the Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF ) at the Annual General Meeting held on 4 September, 2022. One of the founder members of the Forum, Melantha carries with him over three decades of musicianship, with a long stint in Dubai and elsewhere in the Middle East. He also directs his own enterprise, Riversheen school, teaching music, speech and interactive values for the benefit of youngsters in the community.

The rest of the committee elected are, Janadari Salgado (Senior Vice-President), Viranjan Perera (VicePresident), Stephanie Fernando (Secretary ), Anuradha Mack (Asst. Secretary), Laksiri Fernando (Treasurer ), Suranga Fernando (Asst. Treasurer) Lucky Deva (Immediate Past President) and the committee members are Tilak Perera, Neelesh Silva, Lakma Salgado, Varuni Cooray and Ruth Silva.

The MAF advisory board re-elected comprises of, Brian Coorey, Sarath Goonawardene, Lankika Perera and Priya Peiris. With a new thinking to bring about a positive change,

MAF is hopeful of establishing global artistic contacts to broad base international activities for mutual benefits.
