Kavindu, Himantha shine in drawn game

The 17th Battle of the Golds encounter between D.S. Senanayake College and Mahanama College ended in a tame draw at the P. Sara Oval yesterday. The highlight of the encounter was the centuries scored by Kavindu Amameth and Himantha Keshan.

Amameth hit 111 to lead Mahanama College to a first innings lead of 52 runs. In the second essay, Keshan of D.S. Senanayake College scored 114 as they responded strongly reaching 255 for 8 declared, setting a target of 191. However Mahanama managed only 76 for the loss of two wickets.
